Re: COVID-19 VIRUS
Dear Residents:
In collaboration with the Office of the Governor of the State of Illinois, the Office of the Cook County Board President and the Office of the Mayor of Country Club Hills, it is our intent to move swiftly to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As State Mandates are issued, the City will continue to make adjustments. The City’s public health and emergency response personnel are taking every proactive measure possible at this time to ensure the safety of our residents as we continue to monitor this evolving pandemic. My administrative team is committed to making every effort to ensure the safety of the residents and staff of the City of Country Club Hills.
We encourage everyone to be vigilant about the best public health practices under the current situation. Social distancing has become the new normal and we ask everyone to participate in this practice. It is also critical that we emphasize that COVID-19 isn’t specific to any one ethnicity, nationality, age group or population.
City Hall is open and we encourage the use of our online payment system at www.countryclubhills.org, U.S. mail and our drop box for water billing and other payments via checks or money orders. Please place all documents intended for all departments in an envelope and place it in the drop box as well. We ask that all non-essential visits to City Hall are postponed for a later date.
The BUILDING DEPARTMENT has suspended internal property inspections on occupied properties. They will continue to inspect unoccupied and external properties on a case by case basis.
The COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTER (CRC) has suspended operations at this time and will resume at a later date. All programs are cancelled. All Senior and OAK programs are cancelled until further notice.
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT will continue to provide services as usual.
