AUTO THEFT CRIME ALERT- Certain Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep vehicles are being actively targeted by auto thieves.  It appears that the most targeted models include: Dodge Chargers, Dodge Challengers, Dodge Durangos, Chrysler 300’s and Jeep Grand Cherokees.  The mentioned vehicles are being broken into and electronically manipulated where they can be stolen without an actual key in less than a minute.  If you own any of these vehicles, please take the steps to help protect your vehicle from theft by securing it in a garage or blocking it in with another vehicle.  Please notify the Police Department (call 911) if you see any of these vehicle types with a broken window.  The Country Club Hills PD thanks you for your vigilance and continued support as we actively work with surrounding agencies to combat this issue.
