The Country Club Hills Police Department and approximately 3,000 officers representing every branch of law enforcement across the state from local police officers to FBI agents will be participating in the Annual Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run; the single largest year-round fundraising vehicle benefiting Special Olympics Illinois. Special Olympics Illinois is a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and athletic competition in 18 sports for nearly 23,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and nearly 20,000 Young Athletes (ages 2-7) with and without intellectual disabilities. Special Olympic programs transform the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and give Special Olympics Athletes continuing opportunities to enhance physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
You can help our efforts to transform the lives of Special Olympic athletes from across Illinois. We ask for your support to sponsor our runners, “Guardians of the Flame” who will be running on Tuesday, June 4th 2019, to raise awareness and funds for this worthwhile cause.
The cost of sponsorship is $100.00 per runner; Special Olympics Illinois will send a thank you/tax letter to each donor of $100 or more. If unable to be sponsor, a donation in any amount will be greatly appreciated. 100% of your tax-deductible contribution goes directly to Special Olympics Illinois, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (Tax EIN: 36-2922811).
Donations may be made by check made payable to Special Olympics Illinois and mailed to:
