AGGRAVATED FLEEING AND ELUDING: While on patrol in the area of 167th and Cicero Ave, an officer observed a vehicle disobey the traffic control device (run the red light). The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle continued to travel at a high rate of speed in attempts to flee from the officer. The vehicle was ultimately stopped by the Matteson Police Department at the BP gas station, located at 21104 Governor’s Hwy in assist to the Country Club Hills officer. Officers located open alcoholic beverages inside the vehicle. The driver, identified as John Williams (40) of Chicago, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Disobeying the traffic control device, Driving without a valid license, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers were called to a residence in the 3700 block of 169th St regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was learned that a male juvenile battered his mother who confronted him about having a girl in the house. Both parties required and received medical attention. The male juvenile (17) was ultimately charged with Domestic Battery and petitioned into the juvenile court system.

SHOTS FIRED: While on patrol in the area of the Walmart Plaza, officers heard multiple gunshots in the immediate vicinity. Officers checked the plaza area and observed no criminal activity. Upon checking the area around 167th and Pulaski/Crawford, officers located a crime scene at the BP gas station, 16655 Crawford Ave. Being in the jurisdiction of the city of Markham, Markham PD was advised and responded to the incident.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of 183rd and Cicero Ave, an officer observed a vehicle perform a U turn in attempts to avoid making contact with the officer. The officer was able to locate the vehicle and perform a check of the vehicle’s registration, which revealed that the registration was suspended. Upon initiating a stop on the vehicle, the driver, identified as Christopher Brant (37) of Matteson, was unable to provide proof of valid insurance. He was cited for both infractions and was provided with a notice to appear in court.

RECOVERED VEHICLE/WARRANT SERVICE: While on patrol in the area of Walmart, 4005 W 168th Pl, officers were alerted to a vehicle in the parking lot that was possibly stolen. Upon checking the area, officers located the vehicle and confirmed that it was a vehicle reported stolen. Officers subsequently had contact with the driver, identified as Robin Buchmeier (46) of Park Forest, who advised she borrowed the car from a friend. A check of Buchmeier through law enforcement systems revealed that she had an active arrest warrant out of Kane County. She was arrested without incident and later transferred to Kane County. The stolen vehicle was recovered, and the registered owner was contacted about the recovery.

CARJACKING: Officers were dispatched to Marcus Theaters, 4201 W 167th St, regarding a report of an armed carjacking. Prior to arrival, the carjacked vehicle crashed while attempting to flee the scene, and the male offender fled on foot. Officers arrived on scene and immediately secured the area. With the area secured, an assisting Markham K-9 and Oak Forest officers along with other CC Hills officers were able to locate and apprehend the suspect, a male determined to be a juvenile, in Oak Forest without incident. The firearm used was also recovered. He was charged as an adult, and later transferred to juvenile detention in Chicago.

DUI: While on patrol in the area of Sweetz Bar and Grill, 4167 W 183rd St, an officer observed a disturbance in the parking lot upon the business closing. It was observed that the driver of a Jeep was playing loud music with multiple subjects gathering around the vehicle to dance. The driver, identified as Jamar Everett (37) of Calumet City, showed signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently arrested for DUI, and was cited for playing the loud music from his vehicle.

8-29-2023

TRAFFIC STOP: While conducting traffic enforcement in the area of 183rd and Ravisloe Terrace, an officer observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit. After initiating a traffic stop on the vehicle, the officer learned that the driver had a Suspended Driver’s license. The driver, identified as Amani Smith (25) of Harvey, was arrested and charged with Speeding, Driving on a Suspended License, No valid insurance, Expired Vehicle Registration. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

TRAFFIC STOP: While conducting traffic enforcement in the area of 187th and Marycrest Dr, an officer observed a vehicle disobey a stop sign. After initiating a traffic stop on the vehicle, the officer learned that the driver, Deshaun Trotter (23) of Sauk Village, had a Suspended Driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Disobeying a stop sign and Driving on a Suspended License.

08-31-2023

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE: While on patrol in the area of 169th and Pulaski Rd, an officer observed a vehicle with a registration that did not match the vehicle to which it was affixed. After initiating a stop on the vehicle, it was learned that the driver William Roberson (48) of Harvey, did not have a valid driver’s license. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving on a Revoked driver’s license, No valid insurance, and no valid vehicle registration.

RETAIL THEFT: Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 4005 W. 168th Pl, regarding a subject committing retail theft from the location. Upon further investigation of the incident, responding officers learned that Miranda Blondel (59) of Country Club Hills concealed items inside of her personal property and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. She was arrested and charged with Retail Theft.

TRAFFIC STOP: While conducting traffic enforcement in the area of 187th and Marycrest Dr, an officer observed a vehicle disobey the stop sign at the intersection. After initiating a traffic stop on the vehicle, the officer learned that the driver had a suspended license. The driver, identified as Frederic Pickett (29) of Chicago, was arrested and charged with Driving on a Suspended License, No valid insurance, and no valid vehicle registration in addition to the stop sign violation. His vehicle was ultimately towed and impounded.

July 24 – July 31

7-24-2023

BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to Shell Gas Station, 18259 Pulaski Rd, regarding an unknown problem at the location. Upon further investigation, officers learned that a male subject, later identified as Avion Hogans (36) of Country Club Hills, wanted the manager to give him a pack of cigarettes before he paid for them. When the manager didn’t do as he requested and asked him to leave, he got upset and pushed the manager’s assistant prior to leaving the location. He was later arrested and charged with one count of Battery.

7-26-2023

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF CANNABIS: While patrolling the area of 180th and Kostner, an officer observed a Hyundai Sonata parked in the parking lot of United Christian Church, 4351 W 180th St. The church was closed, and the parking lot was otherwise empty. Upon further investigation of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia was observed. The passenger Jamari White (20) an Indiana resident, was found to be in possession of more that 15 grams of cannabis. He was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and the vehicle was towed and impounded.

TRAFFIC STOP: While performing traffic enforcement via stationary radar tracking in the area of 4200 W. 183rd St, an officer observed a vehicle to be speeding. The officer then stopped the vehicle for the infraction and learned that the driver Khaatim Abdullah (40) of Glenwood, IL had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and processed for the warrant.

WEAPON OFFENSE: While servicing an ATM at Bank of America, 4211 W. 167th St, the service engineer was approached and questioned about his activity by a male subject who appeared to be brandishing a weapon. Upon further investigation, it was learned that the weapon was a BB gun that looked like a semi-automatic pistol. At the conclusion of the investigation, Todd Sherman (50) of Mokena, IL was ultimately arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.

 

June 26 – July 03

06-27-2023

BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to the Country Club Hills Wellness Center, 4411 Gatling Blvd, regarding a Battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that Oscar McFadden (63) of Country Club Hills battered a juvenile at the location. He was subsequently located, arrested, and charged with Battery.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of 167th and Pulaski Rd, the K-9 officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn from the Walmart Plaza area. After conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle, further investigation using his K-9 partner Jester yielded positive results, as 6 used cannabis bags and 1 open “weed” pen utilizing THC was located. The driver David Williams (31) of Lynwood was also found to have a suspended driver’s license, for which he was arrested.

ANIMAL BITE: Officers were dispatched to the 18600 block of Walnut regarding a dog attacking a male subject. After further investigation, it was learned that an American Pit Bull broke free from its restraints and bit a male. The owner of the pit bull was cited for the biting animal.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to Amoco gas station, located at 4015 W. 183rd St regarding a report of a man beating a woman. The male subject left the scene in his vehicle prior to police arrival. After further investigation, the license plate of his vehicle was obtained, and he was located in Hazel Crest by the Hazel Crest Police Department. William Berry (27) of Park Forest was charged with Domestic Battery.

06-30-2023

TRAFFIC STOP: While patrolling in the area of 177th Pl and Maple Ave, an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. After conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle, it was learned that the vehicle’s registration was suspended. The driver, Tanique Saunders (22) of Monee was arrested and cited for Aggravated Speeding and Suspended Vehicle Registration.

WEAPON OFFENSE: While patrolling in the area of 183rd and Cicero Ave, an officer observed a male subject leaning out of the rear driver side window, yelling obscenities and making obscene gestures at the officer. After initiating a stop on the vehicle, further investigation of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm (Glock 17) on the front passenger side floor. The driver, Armani Couch (25) of Richton Park, was arrested and charged with traffic violations as well as Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon.

BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to Pizza Hut, 4237 W. 167th St, regarding a report of battery. After further investigation of the incident, it was learned that the manager was battered by a former employee. Michelle Palmer (24) of Flossmoor was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of Battery.

June 05 – June 12

BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to Amoco gas station, 4015 W. 183rd St, regarding reports of a fight inside the location. After further investigation, it was learned that Jaymie Scott (30) of Chicago, battered another female after a confrontation inside the business. Scott was arrested and charged with battery.

HIT AND RUN: Officers were dispatched to Soft Touch Car Wash, 18308 S. Cicero Ave, regarding a hit and run accident. After further investigation, it was learned that the driver of the offending vehicle struck a motorcyclist and fled the scene prior to police arrival. The driver, Antwan Lee (21) of Country Club Hills was later identified, arrested, and charged with Leaving the scene of a crash, Improper Lane Usage, and No Valid Driver’s License.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 18900 block of Loretto Ave regarding a report of Criminal Trespass. After further investigation, it was learned that Jobe Jones (22) of Country Club Hills did not belong on the property and was ultimately arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass to Property.

WARRANT SERVICE: Officers were dispatched to the Country Club Hills Police Department lobby regarding a female subject who possibly had a warrant. After further investigation, it was learned that Marshae Blalock (27) of South Holland had a valid warrant issued by Cook County. She was arrested and charged accordingly for the warrant.

DOMESTIC BATTERY AND DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 17100 block of Orchard Ln regarding a Domestic Disturbance. After further investigation, it was learned that Dwayne Johnson (44) of Country Club Hills damaged property at the location and battered the caller. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Damage to Property.

HOMICIDE: Please see our official press release regarding this incident. Again, based on the initial investigation the incident appears to be isolated, and there is no immediate threat to the community.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of 183rd and Baker Ave, an officer observed a vehicle traveling east on 183rd St at a high rate of speed. After initiating a stop on the vehicle for speeding, the driver Raphael Sebastien (33) of Homewood was cited for two counts of Aggravated Speeding and one count of Illegal Screeching of Tires. His vehicle was also impounded for the related infractions.

May 22 – May 29

BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to Country Club Hills Tech and Trade regarding a fight between three students. After further investigation, two female juveniles 15 and 16 yrs of age, were arrested for battery and charged as juveniles.

WARRANT SERVICE: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 18600 block of Cedar Ave regarding a dispute over services. After further investigation, it was learned that Alonzo Randle (57) of Country Club Hills had two outstanding warrants. He was arrested and the warrants were served.

RETAIL THEFT: Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 4005 W 168th Pl, regarding a report of Retail Theft. After further investigation of the incident, it was learned that Wendy Gray (61) of Country Club Hills attempted to take $104.75 worth of merchandise without paying for the items. Gray was arrested, issued a trespass warning, and cited for the Retail Theft.

VIOLATION OF ORDER OF PROTECTION: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4600 block of 179th Pl regarding an unwanted subject. After further investigation of the incident, officers learned that an Order of Protection was in place against Ashley Edwards (32) of Country Club Hills, and Edwards actions while at the residence were a violation of the order’s stipulations. Edwards was arrested and charged with violating the Order of Protection.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4300 block of 182nd Pl regarding a report of Domestic Battery. After further investigation of the incident, it was learned that Garnett Ellis (40) of Chicago Heights battered his ex-girlfriend. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Criminal Trespass to Property.

ASSAULT: Officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of 187th St regarding a report of Assault. After further investigation of the incident, it was learned that Ryan Pieper (26) of Country Club Hills threatened to harm another family member. He was arrested and charged with Assault.

May 15 – May 22

AGGRAVATED UNLAWFUL USE OF WEAPON: Officers were dispatched to the 4700 block of 185th Pl after receiving a call of subjects possibly armed with firearms walking towards Cicero Ave. Upon arrival in the area, officers observed a group of males matching the description provided. Further investigation of those subjects found one of the males, Anthony Amerson (18) of Country Club Hills carrying a concealed firearm on his person. Amerson did not have a valid FOID or CCL status. He was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to the area of 175th and Pulaski Rd to regarding a female subject reporting that she was the victim of domestic battery. Once located in the parking lot of Country Pantry, 4001 W. 175th St, the female victim related that she was slapped in the face by Lonnie Hardy (41) of Richton Park. She stated that Hardy left the area. Once located, Hardy was taken into custody and charged with domestic battery.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4100 block of 178th St regarding a report of criminal damage to property that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers observed the damaged vehicle and were able to obtain a vehicle description as well as a physical description of the subjects involved. Upon checking the area, officers located a vehicle matching the description provided, as well as the suspect, Jada Mitchell (19) of Hazel Crest. Mitchell was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Damage to Property.

TRAFFIC STOP: While performing traffic enforcement in the area of 183rd and Baker, an officer observed a vehicle driving eastbound faster than the posted speed limit. Upon initiating a traffic stop, it was learned that the driver Dijon Shields (22) of Hazel Crest did not have valid insurance, and his vehicle’s registration was suspended. He was arrested and cited for Speeding, No valid insurance, and Suspended Registration.

BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to Country Club Hills Tech and Trade regarding a report of battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that a 13-year-old female juvenile of Calumet City threw water on a teacher and struck said teacher with a plastic water bottle. The juvenile was arrested and charged as a juvenile with battery.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4900 block of 187th St regarding a report of domestic battery. Upon further investigation of the incident, it was learned that Ryan Pieper (26) of Country Club Hills struck a co-habitant in the residence in the face with a shoe and his fist. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers were dispatched to the Tesla Charging Station located at 4021 W. 167th St regarding reports of a fight involving a male pushing a female to the ground. After further investigation of the incident, Andre Collins (40) of Chicago was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of 171st Pl and Pulaski, an officer observed a vehicle conduct an improper turn. Upon initiating a stop on the vehicle, the officer learned that the driver was not valid, and the vehicle’s registration had been suspended. The driver, Andre Barbee (36) of Country Club Hills was issued citations for Revoked Driver’s License, Suspended Vehicle Registration, and Improper Turn.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of Highland Pl. and Springfield Ave., an officer observed a vehicle parked facing the wrong direction. The vehicle was observed to be running and occupied. Upon further investigation it was learned that the driver, Desean Robinson (18) of Country Club Hills, had a suspended license and did not have proof of insurance for the vehicle. He was arrested and charged with the parking violation, as well as driving on a Suspended License, and No Proof of Insurance.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO RESIDENCE: Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 4300 block of 182nd Pl regarding a domestic dispute. After further investigation of the incident, Garnett Ellis (40) of Chicago Heights, was arrested and charged with a local ordinance violation, Criminal Trespass to Residence, and Resisting a Peace Officer.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers responded to a residence in the 4500 block of 183rd St for the report of Domestic Battery. Upon further investigation, Francisco Lepe (52) of Country Club Hills was identified as the male subject who was responsible for striking two adult subjects in the house with a belt during the altercation. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers responded to a residence in the 18000 block of Greenview Terr for the report of Domestic Battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that Michael Moutry (30) of Country Club Hills bit another subject on the hand during the altercation. He was arrested and charged for Domestic Battery.

RETAIL THEFT: Officers responded to Walmart (4005 W. 168th Pl) for the report of Retail Theft. After further investigation, Dorothy Ford (55) of Chicago was arrested and charged for Retail Theft and Criminal Trespass to Property.

05-04-2023
BATTERY: Officers responded to Country Club Hills Tech and Trade for the report of Battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that two male juvenile students (both 15) battered another male student. They were both arrested and charged with Battery before being released to their parents.

BATTERY: Officers were flagged down at Sweetz Bar and Grill (4167 W. 183rd St) for the report of a Battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that a male subject choked a female subject. The male, Bryan Allen (46) of Texas, was arrested and charged with Battery.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers responded to a residence in the 3700 block of 169th St for the report of a Domestic Battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that Kenyatta Washington (39) of Country Club Hills struck another subject with a closed fist during an altercation inside the residence. She was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Officers responded to a residence in the 4600 block of 179th Pl for the report of a Domestic Battery. Upon further investigation, it was learned that Ashley Edwards (32) of Country Club Hills repeatedly kicked another subject with her foot during an altercation inside the residence. She was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery.

RETAIL THEFT: Officers responded to Walmart (4005 W. 168th Pl) for the report of Retail Theft. After further investigation, Brittany Lloyd (33) of Country Club Hills was arrested and charged with Retail Theft.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of 170th and Cicero Ave, an officer observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. After conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle, the driver Emontae Washington (18) of Chicago was arrested and cited for Aggravated Speeding and Driving with an Expired/Suspended vehicle registration.

TRAFFIC STOP: While on patrol in the area of 171st PL and Appletree Dr, an officer observed a vehicle driving at reckless speeds in the residential area. After conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle, the driver Anthony Asare (27) of Hazel Crest was arrested and cited for Aggravated Speeding and Driving on a Revoked License.

April 24 – May 1

April 24, 2023

TRAFFIC CRASH: Following the investigation of a traffic crash at the intersection of Country Club Hills Dr and Central Park Ave, Daniel Jones (19) of Country Club Hills was arrested for having No Valid Driver’s License, No Proof of Insurance, and Improper Left Turn.

April 26, 2023

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Following the investigation of a disturbance at Southwood Middle School, April Brown (36) of Country Club Hills was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

BATTERY: Following the investigation of a disturbance at Country Club Hills Tech & Trade, a female juvenile (13) was arrested for Battery. She was ultimately released to the custody of her father.

RETAIL THEFT: Following the investigation of a Retail Theft at Walmart, 4005 W. 168th Pl, a female juvenile (14) was arrested for taking approximately $150 worth of merchandise. The merchandise was recovered, and after being charged, the juvenile was released to the custody of her mother.

April 27, 2023

BATTERY: Two male juveniles 15 and 17 yrs, were arrested for the battery of another student at Country Club Hills Tech & Trade.
RETAIL THEFT: Following the investigation of multiple counts of Retail Theft from Amazon on four separate occasions, having a total loss value of $7,438.92, Elijah Smith (22) of South Holland was charged with Financial Institution Fraud.

April 28, 2023

AGGRAVATED UNLAWFUL USE OF WEAPON: Officers were called to the area of 183rd and Anthony Ave for the report of 2 suspicious subjects who were observed to be dressed in all black with their faces covered with black mask, walking south on Anthony Ave approaching 183rd St. Once in the area, officers located the subjects, and after further investigation, the subjects were revealed to be in possession of firearms. One of the subjects attempted to flee the area on foot but was ultimately apprehended by responding officers. Denali Johnson (21) of Country Club Hills was charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Agg UUW), Obstructing Identification, and Resisting Arrest. Jamon Anderson (19) of Harvey was also charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
