Celebrating the 56th Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week
May 4 – May 10, 2025
A Message from City Clerk Patricia D. Hutson
Welcome to the 56th Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week, a dedicated time to recognize the essential role Municipal Clerks play in local government—and to shine a spotlight on the people behind the title.
Since 1969, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) has led this week of recognition across the United States, Canada, and beyond. Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton both issued proclamations acknowledging the importance of Clerks Week, marking it as the first full week of May each year.
As your City Clerk, I take great pride in serving the residents of Country Club Hills. Our office works diligently to maintain accurate records, support City Council operations, oversee elections, and ensure our local government remains transparent, accountable, and connected to the people it serves.
Join the Celebration! 🎉
We’re celebrating with a sweet gesture for the community!
Stop by City Hall — the first 100 residents will receive complimentary cupcakes in the lobby as a small thank-you for your continued support and engagement.
Clerks Keep Cities Moving:
- We serve as the official record-keepers of the city’s legislative actions and public decisions.
- We provide access to important city documents and support open government.
- We manage municipal elections and maintain voter records.
- We act as a bridge between residents, elected officials, and city departments.
