OAK Membership for seniors 55 or older is $12.00 a year for residents and $24.00 a year for non-residents. You must be a member to participate in programs. Non Members and Non Residents will pay more for trips when space is available.
We are looking to update our database of seniors. If you are age 55 or older and would like to be included in our city senior events, please call Linda at (708) 798-2616, ext. 2248 or 2249.
Trips are offered once a month using City Transportation in most cases. They are paid for by the Senior. Please come to the OAK Room in the Lower Level of City Hall and pick up a calendar and schedule of events.
“New”- Every Monday- Go 4 Life Exercise Class – Low impact chair exercise designed for Seniors to help with Balance and Flexibility- 10am-11:00- Free to OAK Members. We watch a video from the National Institute on Aging.
2nd Monday Each Month – OAK Monthly Meeting 1:00-3:00. Speaker for these meeting will be announced through our calendar and monthly phone calls to OAK Members. We will celebrate our monthly Birthdays with light refreshments. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar.
4TH MONDAY OF EACH MONTH
OAK Movie & Card Day – 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In the OAK Room Stay for cards after. We have a Popcorn Machine to make “Fresh” Popcorn. Bring a friend for a fun afternoon
Cards & Games – Tuesday’s & Fridays, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Every Tuesday – Line Dance $ 4.00 per Class, City Hall Lower Level Beginners- 9:30-10:30; Low-10:45-11:45; High-12:15-1:15
Bid Whist Wednesday’s – Every Wednesday in the OAK Room 1-5:00, except on trip days.
Craft Day-Scrapbook, Crochet and “New” Sewing 10:30-3:00

2ND FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH
Dr.Bill McNierney. Podiatrist – will be at the OAK Center from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 to give foot care. Seniors should bring their Medicare Card. This service is available to seniors 65 or older with Medicare. No HMO. Please call 206-1039 to make an appointment
Wednesday, September 14 – Country Club Hills Senior Commission Fish Fry.12:00- 3:00 Outside at the Theater Complex. We will have Catfish & Perch from Captain Hooks. This Event is Free for Residents and OAK Members – Space is limited you must RSVP to attend before August 17– 206-1039. Lunch will be served from 12:30- 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, October 12 – OAK Trip to Potawatomi Bingo & Casino in Milwaukee $20.00 per person for Motor Coach Transportation. Must be 55 or older call 206-1039 for details. Lunch will be served from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, December 14 – OAK Trip to Dinner at Grand Village Buffet & Festival of Lights in East Peoria Illinois-$ 30.00 for Motor Coach Transportation- (Dinner is paid for by you around $11.00)- Leave City Hall at 2:00 pm return approx 10 pm. Call 206-1039 for more info.
